SEDGEFIELD AT THE PARK

Premier Hunter Jumper Competitions in the sandhills

Hunter & Jumper Events for Every horse & Rider

Sedgefield at the Park is a series of NCHJA & SCHJA sanctioned hunter & jumper ‘C,’ ‘B,’ and ‘A’ rated horse shows.

We also produce USEF rated hunter/jumper shows. Most of our shows are run over three days using 4 or 5 show rings and sometimes a derby field with a focus on having special themes at certain shows to differentiate them (hunter derbies, handy classes, Pony Finals prep, equitation finals). We have weekend and year end awards for all of our divisions.

Our goal is to provide a quality, efficiently run (with southern hospitality), and enjoyable horse show experience. The horse park continues to invest in the facility and this year is adding a new all weather ring, a new sound system for the rings and barn calls and additional stabling.

We look forward to you visiting us at Sedgefield at the Park horse shows.

Stabling & Venue Information

Your horses' safety, health and comfort are our priority

At Carolina Horse Park, the health, safety, and comfort of every horse are our top priorities. Our stabling facilities are designed with care to ensure your equine partner feels secure and comfortable throughout their stay. With 192 permanent stalls, each equipped with ample ventilation and sturdy construction, we provide a safe and stress-free environment for horses of all disciplines.

Our team works tirelessly to maintain clean and well-prepared stabling areas, offering easy access to water, wash racks, and spacious grounds. The venue’s layout ensures convenient proximity to competition arenas and cross country courses, allowing for seamless transitions between stabling and event participation.

At Carolina Horse Park, we are committed to providing a horse-friendly environment that reflects our passion for equestrian excellence and animal welfare. From arrival to departure, you can trust that your horse will be cared for in a space that meets the highest standards of safety and comfort.

Horse Health Forms & Documentation

Ensuring a safe environment for all to compete

To maintain the well-being of all equine athletes and ensure a safe environment for competition, we require all participants to submit up-to-date health documentation before entering the grounds.

Before stepping foot on the property, all horses must provide the following:

  • Negative Coggins Test: A valid Coggins test (dated within 12 months) is required for every horse.
  • Vaccination Records: Proof of current vaccinations, including EHV-1/EHV-4 (Equine Herpesvirus) and Equine Influenza, is mandatory. These records must follow the USEF vaccination protocol to ensure all horses are protected from communicable diseases.
  • Health Certificate: For out-of-state horses, a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) dated within 30 days of arrival may be required per state regulations.

Upon arrival, our team will verify documentation to confirm compliance with all health and safety requirements.

By adhering to these policies, Carolina Horse Park strives to provide a safe and secure environment where horses and riders can focus on what matters most—excellence in equestrian sport. Thank you for helping us prioritize equine health and well-being!
