Friends & Neighbors Day at the Park is a celebration of community, connection, and open space at the Carolina Horse Park. This special day invites our local neighbors, families, and friends to experience the Park beyond competition — to gather, explore, and enjoy a full day of community-focused activities.
People's Steeplechase: 5K & 10K
9 AM STart time | Same Day Registration 7:30 - 8:30 AM
The People’s Steeplechase brings the thrill of steeplechasing to the Park with runners tackling a spirited course inspired by classic traditions. Cheer on participants as they run, walk, and enjoy their way through this crowd-favorite event that’s fun for competitors and spectators alike.
Participants will receive an official race T-shirt. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed for registrations after March 5, 2026
Chili Cook-Off
11 Am - 1 PM
Join us for a Chili Cook Off filled with bold flavors, friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun. Sample crowd favorites, vote for your top picks, and enjoy a lively day at the Park alongside great food and even better company.
Prizes awarded to top three entries for:
- People’s Choice
- Judge’s Choice Professionals
- Judge’s Choice Amateurs, Side Dish and Presentation!
From 11:00am – 1:00pm
Tickets: $10 per person

Dog Agility Demonstration
Fast, fun, and full of wagging tails!
Free admission! Join us for a Dog Agility Demonstration featuring skilled canine athletes racing through jumps, tunnels, and weave poles. It’s an exciting showcase of teamwork, speed, and training that’s fun for all ages and a perfect addition to a day at the Park.
