The Carolina Horse Park’s Painted Ponies Art Walk returns to Southern Pines in 2021 -  January 30th through March 30th. The auction raised over $63,000 for the Carolina Horse Park in 2020 enabling the Park to expand its environmental, educational and equestrian events.

                                  Painted Ponies Art Walk Returns in 2021! 
                                              January 30th - March 30th                          
                                                                    Carolina Horse Park Fundraiser

The Carolina Horse Park’s Painted Ponies Art Walk returns to Southern Pines in 2021 and will run from January 30 through March 30. In its second year as a fundraising event for the park, the Painted Ponies Art Walk has grown for next year to feature 12 sculptures (10 ponies and 2 smaller foals) painted by local artists. The sculptures will again line Broad Street for visitors and residents to enjoy. Designed to captivate sightseers as they shop, dine and stroll, The Painted Ponies Art Walk is anticipated to increase foot traffic in the downtown area throughout the event.

Local businesses sponsored the painted ponies that will be placed at locations along Broad Street. The 2021 sponsors are Artistic Kitchen & Baths, Audrey Wiggins Real Estate, BB&T now Truist, Better Homes and Gardens Lifestyle Property Partners, Cabin Branch Tack Shop, Chef Warren's Market and Bistro, Convention & Visitors Bureau of Pinehurst, Southern Pines and Aberdeen Area; English Riding Supply, Everything Pines Real Estate, Opulence of Southern Pines, Mabus Farm and General Contracting, River Jack Outdoor Trading Co., Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills, Southern Whey, The Pilot, Twin Gates Farm and WhitLauter by Leann Parker Estate Jewelry.

Local artists include Dan Dreyer, Gene Fletcher, Darlene Ivey, Jenay Jarvis, Nikki Leinhard, Larissa Lychola, Merdith Martens, Linda Nunez, Rachel Prieto, Tiffany Teeter and Erin Wilson.

Sponsors, artists, equestrians and visitors viewing the Painted Ponies Art Walk are invited to use the hashtag #PaintedPoniesCHP when posting photos to social media. The Painted Ponies Auction proceeds benefit the Carolina Horse Park Foundation.

By supporting the Painted Ponies April 3 Auction, you are not only bidding on a wonderful piece of equestrian art, you are supporting the Carolina Horse Park, a key part of our equestrian community here in the Sandhills. The Painted Ponies Art Walk & Auction is a visible representation of the equestrian community for visitors as they shop, dine, and stroll around downtown. The auction will generate important revenue for CHP to support its mission of:
