Many
thanks to all who worked so hard decorating their tailgate
spaces and tents. Congratulations to the winners of the
Stoneybrook Tailgate Contest. They all received a bottle
of wine, a balloon and a gift certificate from The
Wine Cellar & Tasting Room in downtown Southern
Pines.

Most
Elegant Tailgate |
|

"Silver
Bits and Pieces", from Sanford and Whispering Pines,
featured equestrian elegance in black and white. In
addition to tablecloths, silver and fine china, they
decorated a horse and jockey with black and white toile
fabric. |

Best
Tailgate Theme |
|
 |
 |
|
The gang
from the Longbranch Saloon won the best Tailgate theme.
Costumes included cowboy and cowgirl outfits, sheriffs,
and saloon girls. The
saloon's makeshift walls displayed WANTED posters of
"hardened criminals" (the folks used their pastor's
photos...) |
Most
Equestrian Tailgate |
|

James
Garfield-Jefferson of Asheville entertains one of his
tailgate neighbors, Mary Harley of Chapel Hill. This is
James' 18th year of attendance at Stoneybrook! |

Fine China
with an Equestrian theme was the centerpiece of this display
of simple elegance. |
Most
Festive Tailgate |
|

The Fayetteville Flamingos flapped their way to victory in
the Tailgate contest, winning the title of Most Festive
Tailgate.
|

Not only
were flamingos in abundance, but all the colorful
tableware topped off a great party. |
|

The
Flamingos were dressed for every month of the year, from
Uncle Sam to Santa Claus. |
