Eventing

Eventing is comprised of three phases where the same horse and rider combination perform in the areas of dressage, cross country jumping and show jumping. The most exciting of all equestrian sports, eventing draws riders of all ages and all levels of competency given its diversity and its intensity in requiring riders and horses be skilled in three completely separate riding disciplines. Originating from the days of military on horseback, the purpose of this sport at its outset was to provide the ultimate test of “war horse” and “warrior”. Today, eventers compete at six national levels and four international levels. The Carolina Horse Park is a venue which features six championship level eventing cross country courses. Come out to see the next “eventing” competition at the Park and enjoy the thrill of the sport.
