Carolina Horse Park Volunteer Incentive Program 2010
1) Earn “Park Bucks” – $25 voucher for use at any CHP competition, schooling day or other event as a reward for each full day of volunteering. “Park Bucks” may be used towards payment of entry fees, initial or renewal of Friend of the Park membership, XC schooling, driving hazards schooling, or other events run by CHP.
2) Semi Annual XC schooling with a local professional at the Park. CHP will offer one day in July and one day in November at which volunteers may enjoy a cross country schooling session taught by a local professional. Sign up with Pat for either or both days and we will schedule the date(s) during the above months. Green as Grass through Preliminary schooling and instruction available solely for our volunteer corps.
3) Volunteer of the Quarter – At the end of each quarter (March, June, September and December) our Volunteer Coordinator will recognize one volunteer who has given above and beyond the call of duty with a special gift. This award will be noted on the website and an inspiration to all of us!
4) New Comer Volunteer Briefings. New to the job? Our Volunteer Coordinator will arrange a time for new volunteers to meet with our Horse Trials Director for an overview of the sport of eventing and the key roles that our volunteers play.
5) Volunteer thank you gifts. Volunteering at each recognized horse trial is a huge part of our success. For your work at each of these events we will provide each volunteer with a special take away gift such as an insulated coffee mugs, lunch bag, or small hard coolers!
6) Offer a meet and greet with upper level competitors at the end of the day on Saturday afternoon. This is also a way for competitors to give back to the volunteers.
7) “Friend of the Park” membership is awarded annually to the outstanding volunteer based on contribution, dedication and performance.
The CHP Annual Volunteer Appreciation Day. Come and enjoy the horse park at year end….ride the trails, jump some jumps or have a pleasure drive around the Park and have a great mid day meal as our appreciation for all you do!
